What is the cost of a unit?It varies by the size and location within the campus. Units start at $39k, and we are offering on a pre-construction basis, a 4-6 car private garage for $99k.
Where are you located?
In Chanhassen, right off of Highway 5, approximately 2 miles west of County Rd 101. Turn south on Audubon Rd, (this is the corner where Prince's Paisley Place is located) ~ 1/2 mile on the west side of the street, 8200 Audubon Rd. The private road into the campus is MotorPlex Court. You have arrived. Or from 494 take Hwy 5 west and continue on 312 to Powers Bldv, turn right ~200 yards to Lyman Rd, turn left, ~1 mile to Audubon Rd, turn right, ~1.1 miles turn left into MotorPlex Court.
What is the size of a unit?
We are offering different sizes for different needs. Our purpose built facility can accommodate a wide range of vehicles, from the biggest RV's to the extra height needed for a 40'+ cabin cruiser boats as well as sail boats. Vehicle lifts, no problem. We have solutions for the single vehicle person and can offer solutions for the unusual (one of our members is even contemplating trailering in a helicopter).
The sizes range from: 13x25, 24x40, 24x43, 24x80, 24x86, 30x40, 30x80, 30x86, 32x54, 32x57, 48x54, and custom sizes as all of our building are clear span. The height of the units also range from 13', 16' 18' and 20'.
Are there association fees?
Yes, the association fee cover grounds maintenance, snow removal, insurance and common area security and lighting, as well as replacement reserves. The association fee for a typical 24x40 Private Garage is ~$100 per month.
What does each unit come with?
- Each unit has individually controlled in-floor electric boilers
- Each unit has fire suppression sprinkler system and also in the rafters
- Each unit has 100 amps of electrical power
- Most units will have water and floor drains
- Some of the units will have bathrooms (owner option prior to construction)
- Insulated finished ceiling
- 13', 24', 30' and 32' widths and 25', 40', 54', 80' and 86' lengths.
- 16', 18' and 20' ceiling heights with 14'x18' and 16'x20' insulated raised panel remote control garage doors.
- Each owner will also own a fractional share of the ~4000 Sq Ft Clubhouse and the common court yards as well as the 1.5 acre pond with fountain.
Taxes?
The Carver County Tax Assessors office has indicated as long as the unit is used for personal storage, it will be assessed at an effective rate of 1%.
Security?
The campus has only one entry and exit point, it is gated and fenced. There will be 49 high resolution digital video cameras patrolling the campus and within the clubhouse. Optionally, owners can have installed a Webcam in their private garage so they can view the contents of the unit remotely via internet connection. The owners can also install an additional security system in their unit with motion, infared and glass break sensors with remote arm/disarm that can email their phone if an event occurs. Every building also has fire suppression sprinkler systems both in the rafters as well as in every unit.
What if I want to outfit my unit with accessories?
We provide a number of options for you to choose, from vehicle lifts to mezzanines/private space, epoxy and custom finished flooring. One of our members is putting in a sport court for his kids to play while he tinkers with his collection. From wall system/cabinets, refrigerators and air compressors to engineered sound systems and flat screen TV's, we are providing ready solutions to enhance your experience in our community.
